To attend Sunday Mass in person, please sign up at this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0b4aa5a82aa02-holy21 or call the Parish Office by 5pm on Thursday each week.
Because not everyone is able to attend Mass on a regular basis, the Archbishop has continued the general dispensation from the Sunday obligation. If you are healthy, we encourage you to attend Mass, but you are not required to. If you are not healthy, or live with those who are in high-risk categories, we encourage you to stay home and stay safe!
We will continue to livestream some of our Sunday Masses for those who cannot attend in person; see details below.
As we open for public Mass again, we are limited by the number of individuals allowed to attend. Individuals must be in good health and should not be in the greater risk categories for COVID-19 as defined as over 60 years old and/or with pre-existing medical conditions. We are responsible for creating a safe environment for parishioners and staff, and we need your help to do so.
In order to come to Mass, you must successfully pass this screening by answering “No” to all six of these questions. A “Yes” to even one question is a failed screening, and for the love and safety of your brothers and sisters, you are asked to remain at home.
In the last 14 days, have you:
If you pass this prescreening, you are eligible to sign your household up attend Mass.
A household is defined as a group of individuals who live together under one roof. We will add more slots for future Masses once we have the necessary ministers in place. MINISTERS AND THEIR HOUSEHOLDS should not sign up using this platform, but should utilize the MSP Program. This includes EMHCS, Lectors/Sacristans, A/V Techs and Hospitality Ministers.
Volunteers at Mass
Although we are not able to gather as a community at present, we will livestream prayers and Masses on Vimeo. We hope you will be able to join us!
During Phase 1, we will stream Mass at the following times:
You can view the livestream (and also the archived video) on our Vimeo page at https://vimeo.com/holyrosary as well as on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HolyRosaryWestSeattle. You do not need a Vimeo or Facebook account to view the livestream, but you may need to ignore pop-up ads. If you do not see the livestream immediately, scroll down the page and/or click on the "Videos" link. If you are viewing on a phone or a tablet, you may need to download the Vimeo or Facebook app rather than viewing on your device's web browser. Therefore, we recommend viewing it on a computer if possible.
To access the readings used for Mass, you can find them at US Bishops website or through a free online version of the Magnificat, which has other prayers and reflections as well.
Readings are also available in the Breaking Bread hymnals. We are making the Breaking Bread hymnals available to take home for your own use. You can pick them up at the Church during the normal open hours (noon to 4pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, or during the weekend Masses).
Since you are not able to receive the Eucharist when viewing liturgies online, you are invited to make an act of Spiritual Communion:
Prayer for Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most holy Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Golden Network: Because we cannot be together in person at this time, it is important to remain connected in any way we can. Based on Shoulder to Shoulder's Golden Outreach, we have developed a way to maintain and even build up social connections, and to bring assistance to any in need. Please contact Libby or call 206-937-1488 ext. 209, or sign up for Shoulder to Shoulder at https://app.groopit.co/shoulder.
Spiritual Resources: The Church does not only meet in the building, but in our homes and in our hearts. Here are some resources to help you pray whether you are alone, with family, or with friends; whether at home, at work, or traveling.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO KEEP CHURCH OPEN
Archbishop Etienne has advised that we can only keep our church open if we have volunteers to monitor and sanitize while the church is open. Volunteers would monitor visitor health and social distancing and then sanitize the space with lysol spray after they leave. Can you help keep Holy Rosary church open?
Volunteers need to be healthy, under 60 and not at a higher risk for severe illness per the guidelines below. Please review the guidelines below and let Paul know if you are still eligible to volunteer.
If you are eligible, we will need to know when you are available. Can you do one hour AM or PM as assigned or per your availability? Can you do one hour each day? We want the church to be open 12:00noon-4:00pm. The volunteer monitor will need to use lysol spray to disinfect the area that a visitor occupies after they leave. Again, you must be healthy, under 65 and at no higher health risk.
People who are at higher risk for severe illness
COVID-19 is a new disease and there is limited information regarding risk factors for severe disease. Based on currently available information and clinical expertise, older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
Based upon available information to date, those at high-risk for severe illness from COVID-19 include:
o People with chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma;
o People who have serious heart conditions;
o People who are immune-compromised including cancer treatment;
o People of any age with severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] >40) or certain underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled, such as those with diabetes, renal failure, or liver disease might also be at risk;
People who are pregnant should be monitored since they are known to be at risk with severe viral illness, however, to date data on COVID-19 has not shown increased risk.
Many conditions can cause a person to be immune-compromised, including cancer treatment, bone marrow or organ transplantation, immune deficiencies, poorly controlled HIV or AIDS, and prolonged use of corticosteroids and other immune weakening medications.

Thank you for considering this volunteer opportunity to monitor the church for visitor health and social distancing. Thank you also for continuing to pray for and support Holy Rosary during this time of separation. Your faith, dedication and generosity are deeply appreciated!
